Big choices matter and small everyday choices matter. I find vintage linens, slightly stained or worn, yet strong and beautifully made, naturally dye them with a substantive dye (one that does not require a mordant to set), mainly indigo, pecan, or avocado, and provide them here for sale.
To be used in place of your single use disposables, like paper towels or paper napkins, they won't be perfect to begin with, so don't worry about them, use them! Just chuck them in the wash, and send them back to me for re-dying over time.
These in the photos are vintage napkins that I lightly dyed, after a year of heavy use, machine washing and drying, ready for a fresh dye process. The handwork in vintage linens is a joy to behold and a connection to the past. Don't worry, I'm not proposing this for perfect antique linens, just the ones overlooked for the small stain or worn spot. They shouldn't go to waste!
